Class will take place in Woodbury, Minnesota (exact class address will be sent out three days before the class) on from 9:30am to approximately 2:30pm.

There will be a live fire exercise at the range that includes firing the firearm.  Parents/Guardians can elect to not have their child(ren) shoot at this time.

Class fee covers everything a student needs to participate in the class (Classroom, range fee, firearm rental, etc).

Description

The Kids Gun Safety and Basic Pistol Class is intended for children aged 11-17.

Course topics include: basic rules of firearm safety, different types of firearms, difference between and identification of toy guns and real guns, what to do if you ever encounter an unsecured firearm, and fundamentals of shooting.

Additionally, students will complete live fire training at the range under the supervision of an NRA Certified Instructor.

Students will receive a Kids Gun Safety and Basic Pistol Booklet, and Right To Bear, Firearms Training Certificate of Completion upon completion of the course.

Class is $75 and the class fee is required to be paid in full upon registration. The classroom portion will be 3-4 hours long followed by another 1-2 hours at the shooting range.

Note: Parents/Guardians must be present when dropping off the children to sign permission and liability forms.  Although parents are encouraged to stay for the duration of the class, it is not required.  Parents/Guardians will return at the end of the course to transport their children to the shooting range for the live fire exercise.
